Private Santorini Vegan Wine Tour | 3 Wineries & 12 Tastings

Duration: 5 Hours

Overview

Discover the unique flavors of Santorini’s vegan wines on this exclusive private tour, guided by a professional sommelier through three of the island’s finest estate wineries. This Private Santorini Vegan Wine Tour is a luxurious, sustainable experience where elegance meets eco-conscious living. Sample 12 distinctive vegan wines made from local grapes, learn about their unique characteristics, terroir, and winemaking process, and explore the philosophy behind plant-friendly winemaking — whether you’re a dedicated vegan or simply curious about cleaner, more conscious wines.

Why Choose This Private Santorini Vegan Wine Tour Santorini’s wine scene is world-renowned, but finding a fully vegan, private, and expertly guided experience is rare. This tour is designed for travelers who want depth, sustainability, and exceptional quality all in one.

Unlike a standard winery visit, this experience goes beyond the glass. You will explore the philosophy behind vegan winemaking, understand how Santorini’s volcanic terroir shapes plant-based wines differently, and discover why conscious travelers are choosing this as one of the most unique things to do in Santorini. With a private sommelier by your side, three handpicked estate wineries, and Cycladic vegan bites paired along the way, every detail is crafted to deliver an experience that is as educational as it is indulgent.

This makes it the perfect choice for conscious travelers, dedicated vegans, and wine lovers looking for one of the most unique and memorable things to do in Santorini.

What Makes Santorini Vegan Wine Special Not all wines are vegan. Traditional winemaking often uses animal-derived fining agents, but Santorini’s vegan producers have embraced a cleaner, more transparent approach without compromising on quality or character.

During the tour, your sommelier explains:

  • What makes a wine vegan and how fining agents affect the process
  • Why Santorini’s volcanic terroir produces wines of exceptional minerality and freshness
  • How indigenous varieties like Assyrtiko, Aidani, and Mavrotragano express the island’s unique character
  • Why sustainable winemaking and Santorini’s ancient viticulture practices go hand in hand

All wines are plant-based and selected from some of Santorini’s most respected estates, which may include Gaia Wines, Ventsanos, Santo Wines, Karamolegos, and OENO P, depending on availability.
